İ have only had the aquarium for a week and i have chanaged the water. The other day İ bought some sand and stones along with a few artifical plants. However the water became dirty. İ took everything out and left it but it was still the same. Now i dont know what to do. İs there something my filter is not doing properly?

I don't really know what qualifies as inexpensive, though. In local fish stores, I see slate and granite for about $1.29/lb., and small-to-medium sized driftwood for up to $30. Can anyone think of a better place to look for this stuff where it's cheaper than a retail fish shop? I'm in Austin, TX, so local places would be much better.

Could they be fading? The water was a little cloudy because I'd just put in some waste control & it says it can fog the water for a bit. So could that be it or maybe my eyes playing tricks on me? Thanks!
