I purchased a 25 watt Visi-Therm aquarium heater this week for my 5.5 gallon freshwater tropical aquarium…so far so good. The temperature has maintained where I set it for several days with virtually no fluctuation. The temp scale is printed large and easy to read. The temp adjustment knob at the top is tapered and somewhat tricky to click-turn if you can’t get a good grip on it. But once set there’s little need to make further adjustments. There’s a red LED light that comes on when the unit is heating / the light goes off when the heater cycles off. The bracket has 2 suction cups and securely holds the heater upright and straight.
This brand of aquarium heater came highly recommended by others who wrote online reviews. Amazon and most pet store websites don’t carry the 25 watt model, so I bought it on an auction website, total cost $25 included shipping.

Received this heater in the mail a few days after ordering. Looks like a good quality heater. It’s easy to adjust and read. I’ve had it for a month now and it keeps my 10 gallon planted tank at a steady temp.

This heater warmed up my 10 gallon tank within 24 hours and my Angels just love it! (Sometimes the light scares them – it pops on when the heater turns on – but they do scare easily!) I’ve never had a problem and even if we lose electricity it comes back on immediately. Great design, very accurate temperature, and there was only one thing I didn’t like about it: the suction-cups are nearly impossible to put on! I still reccommend it though!

I have another one meant for larger tanks. It has worked well and was very easy to adjust the thermostat, so that’s why bought this one. I am happy to say it works just as well as the other one I have. I recommend this brand!

This worked amazingly for my turtle. It warms up the water quickly and works well. It has an automatic shut off and doesn’t overheat. the whole thing even the cable can be under water. So it can to horizontally or vertically. My turtle has taken really well to it and LOVES IT, every night he’ll sleep next to the heater. It doesn’t seem to burn him or anything at all. This also works if you have less than 10 gallons.
